Saudi Arabia has seen a high prevalence of chronic diseases including diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and childhood obesity. Early prevention is the most effective way to reduce the prevalence of chronic disease as well as the cost and difficulties associated with treatment in the later stages of disease.

The Company found an opportunity to serve the community through entering a strategic partnership to offer primary health care services to all groups of society in need of medical expertise to get the medical advice, health checks, and drugs they need to lead a healthy and fulfilling life.

The Company’s strong belief in empowering the community members with the knowledge and ability to improve the quality of their lives and help Guests to manage and cope with their chronic diseases.

Our Programs

Convoys of HOPE Program

Convoys of HOPE Program, offers medical coverage in cooperation with Non-Governmental or Governmental health agencies. The Company helped more than 14,000 chronic-disease patients in 77 convoys, and is working to expand the reach of the convoys to include all parts of the Kingdom.

Chronic Disease Awareness and Prevention Program (Salemtum)

The Company’s strong belief in empowering the community members with the knowledge and ability to improve the quality of their lives through innovative and effective health programs, led to the development of the Chronic Disease Awareness and Prevention Program (Salemtum). Salemtum Program aims to raise the Guests’ awareness and provides them with personalized care and the appropriate solutions for their health needs through simple and easy means. As part of this Program, Nahdi also created a medical adherence program to help Guests manage and cope with their chronic diseases, providing them with an easy and convenient online medication refills and reminders.

Charitable Health Programs

The Company continues to enter into partnerships with numerous government agencies and charitable partners to enable all groups of society in need of medical expertise to get the medical advice, health checks, and drugs they need to lead a healthy and fulfilling life. As of now, the Company connected with 2 million Guests through charitable health programs and won a Guinness World Record for measuring the vital signs of 4,049 Guests in 12 hours.

Diabetes Program

Nahdi collaborated with Joslin Diabetes Center in the Diabetes Program, which aimed to reduce a given patient’s A1C by 2.1% within three follow up months. According to international studies by the American Diabetes Association and a prospective UK diabetes study, reducing A1C by 1% decreases the probability of developing diabetes-related complications such as heart, kidney, and vision ailments by up to 40%.

Nahdi’s continuously promotes preventive healthcare in Saudi Arabia and positively impact the community to adopt an active and healthy lifestyle. Operating for more than three decades has helped us understand the needs of our Guests and bridge the knowledge gap through promoting healthcare and playing a proactive role in helping to build better and healthier communities based on good education, better access to care, and informed choices, which Nahdi brings through innovation, continued growth and partnerships.

Our program

The health and wellness of all our Guests is of paramount importance. Wazen Hayatak is an initiative to help Guests achieve better quality of life by offering customized solutions to help Guests achieve their desired lifestyle.

This initiative is free for all Guests at any Wazen Hayatak health stations located across our 800+ pharmacies across the Kingdom. Under this initiative, Guests are also incentivized to promote healthier lifestyles through community engagement activities in partnership with select government entities

Wazen Hayatak

Nahdi recognizes the importance of educating the community about the gravity of chronic diseases and their long-term effects on the health of individuals and the community at large. Nahdi’s Wazen Hayatak Program aims to help Guests achieve a healthy lifestyle by offering them personalized solutions under Wazen Hayatak and helping them achieve their desired lifestyle. Since the launch of the program in 2018G until now, the Company contributed to a total weight loss of 102 tons. Wazen Hayatak promotes healthy lifestyles through virtual weight management competitions and partnerships with government agencies to support community-sporting events, such as the Company’s collaboration with the Ministry of Sports in Sports for All. Nahdi offers Wazen Hayatak as a free of charge service in more than 800 Pharmacies across Saudi Arabia. The Company also encourages its Guests with fitness programs, including the Billion Step Challenge (in which 2 billion steps were recorded), and Motherhood and Childhood: Improving the Psychological and Physical Health of Mothers and Future Generations.

Our Mom & Baby program aims to be a platform where expecting and new mothers can find trusted source of information and advice from the region’s top experts on maternal and pediatric health and wellness.

The aim of the program is to equip all mothers with science-based resources on nurturing their baby’s growing mind and body, as well as enhance parenting skills. Also, the program allow mothers to engage with each other, share their experiences and learn from one another.
